WELSH DRAGON
The oldest recorded use of the red dragon as a symbol of Wales dates back to the early 9th century and is associated with the Arthurian legends. Henry VII flew the red dragon, overlaid on a green and white banner representing the House of Tudor, as he marched through Wales on his way to Bosworth Field and became the first Tudor king of England.
DAFFODIL
This teabag holder is decorated with a Welsh daffodil which is the national flower of Wales. The Welsh for Daffodil is 'Cenhmen Pedr' (Peter's Leek). To celebrate their patron saint, the Welsh wear a daffodil on St. David's Day.
