Scott's Porage Oats
Start off the day with piping hot porridge oats (If anyone remembers this slogan, you're showing your age)!
Original Scottish-Milled Oats.
If you’ve ever thought porridge was just another bland breakfast, think again. For over a century and a half, Scott’s Porage Oats has been at the heart of breakfast tables, first milled in Glasgow in 1880, now crafted in Cupar, Fife, standing for quality, tradition, and nourishment.
Its famous name Porage, a blend of “porridge” and the French potage and has remained unchanged since 1914, a reminder of the brand’s heritage and individuality. The recognisable packaging, originally featuring the strong kilted Highlander, inspired by real Highland Games athlete Jay Scott and in 2021, he was given a subtle refresh, a cleaner, more contemporary look that still carries the same proud stance.
More than just a product, Scott’s Porage Oats has become a symbol of continuity, a link between past and present, between the way things were done and the way they’re enjoyed now. Whether it’s served in a quiet kitchen on a frosty morning or photographed for social media in a tartan tin, it remains unmistakably, proudly Scottish.
